Let's start with the zinc anodes first. We install 3" zinc anodes on the top of the Trim Tabs we supply SeaRay. So they are likely on your Trim Tabs if they were installed at the factory. It is important that you do not prime or paint under the anode where it sits on the Trim Tab so it makes good electrical contact.

The secret to getting anti-fouling paint to adhere to your trim tabs is proper priming, and the best people to tell you what to do are the experts at the company that makes your anti-fouling paint. We strongly suggest that you contact the paint manufacturer and tell them you are painting "304 stainless steel" trim tabs, then follow their recommendations to the letter!

You can paint the actuators (rams) by simply scuffing them with something like a "Scotch Bite Pad" and apply the antifouling directly to them. You can paint the shafts too.

So check out what Interlux recommends and you should be good to go!

Some pics I took Got to say it was a fun project definitely learned a lot about the boat also learned a lot of new stuff and I now officially know what every wire on my boat does . Filled a bunch of holes and stuff with epoxy. put in the bigger trim tabs on they make that boat 110 times that much better going to do a little work on the hard top this weekend so that I can remount my out outrigger basis and then after Bass season take my live well off the boat so I could have an open deck to fish bottom dwellers this summer

My batteries don't have studs, they have bronze bolts.
First time I had ever seen that.
