    No Parkers... .Just Pictures

Hey Folks, I'm certainly not getting any fishing done. There is plenty of action on the other side of the CBBT for striper but I haven't been up to the task with the weather the way it is. Lately I've been hunting pictures. I've got another obsession and that is photography. Santa brought...

Looks like good times. :D I woke up to 25 degrees with wind gusts to 30. Couldn't fish so I went hunting instead.

End of the year Bay trip

I'm off on the 29th and 31st and depending on winds and weather and deciding between hunting vs. fishing I may be out there. The hot spots for eeling change every couple of days. We are having some rain and winds now and it won't be fishable till at least Tuesday. Shoot me a PM before you...

Ocean Side of CBBT at Nauticus Shoal

I'll be working on the 19th and weather permitting I'll will be out on the 20 and 21st. Here is my secret current predictor chart. On the last 4 times I've been out the fish have been caught close to 2 hours after the slack ebb tide. If you were going to eel around the high rise or buoy 10 or...

Ocean Side of CBBT at Nauticus Shoal

The fish are there year round at night. I'm a catch and eat kind of guy so I don't fool with them out of season. In fact, I've got what I need for this year. I'll be making more trips out trying to get some fish for some friends. Tomorrow in fact........ :D

Ocean Side of CBBT at Nauticus Shoal

Most everybody that fishes the ocean after the bay season closes trolls. The VA Beach crowd is usually fishing from there on down to the border. However, in early Jan the fish should still be off Fishermans Is. and willing to bite an eel.

Remember the "coastal" season is available after the bay shuts down Dec 31st.

Great fish! What time were you out there? I got there around 1 and we got our one fish at 230. Looks like it won't be much fun trying to fish till Wednesday. Richard

Ocean Side of CBBT at Nauticus Shoal

David and I arrived at Kiptopeake ramp about 1230 to find a packed parking lot and about 4 boats in front of us. Although rigs were parked up the road well beyond the designated parking spots, slots were opening up as some of the early morning crew were in the process of leaving. Winds were...

    '06 2320SL trailer recommendation

For your stated uses I would say buy a trailer that gives you the best value.... I wouldn't worry too much about the bunk vs roller if you find one that is priced a lot better than the other.... I prefer my bunk trailer and wouldn't have it any other way unless my boat ramp required a roller. I...

    Cost to winterize 115 Yamaha

You could have done that in 2 to 3 hours easy... so I guess it depends on what your time is worth. How much did they charge by the hour for labor and how many hours did they bill?

    Why Winterize ?

Here is my "Winterizing" routine: 1. Get new supply of clip on bobbers for eeling for stripers 2. pick up about 6 propane canisters for heater 3. get ready to go to Hawaii for two weeks at the end of January I know...I've got got a rough life....

Going out Tuesday from Cape Charles Marina.

I was coming home from Norfolk across the CBBT around 830 AM and didn't see the Bucaneer. I'm guessing you went despite the winds. Watching for your report. Good Luck. Richard

Saturday Morning Fish at the High Rise.

With the economy the way it is, Santa and all his elves were laid off and all he wants to do is fish.... I refused to take all those elves out....

    slow in solomons 12/06

You got some fish :D You made the right decision to not fool with the CBBT. This morning the winds are 25 with gusts to 30 and it's going to get worse.

Saturday Morning Fish at the High Rise.

The beginning of the ebb tide was listed as 512AM. By my calculations the bite would occur 90 to 120 minutes after 512AM. I had also calculated there would be a huge crowd of crazy fisherman trying to get on the water and that this would occur at first light. When we left my house the temp...
