The fish are there year round at night. I'm a catch and eat kind of guy so I don't fool with them out of season. In fact, I've got what I need for this year. I'll be making more trips out trying to get some fish for some friends. Tomorrow in fact........ :D

Most everybody that fishes the ocean after the bay season closes trolls. The VA Beach crowd is usually fishing from there on down to the border. However, in early Jan the fish should still be off Fishermans Is. and willing to bite an eel.

Remember the "coastal" season is available after the bay shuts down Dec 31st.

For your stated uses I would say buy a trailer that gives you the best value.... I wouldn't worry too much about the bunk vs roller if you find one that is priced a lot better than the other.... I prefer my bunk trailer and wouldn't have it any other way unless my boat ramp required a roller. I...
