This guy post numerous videos on fiberglass repair. This one is all about "will gelcoat stick to Epoxy"

Neat videos! I don't know about adding non skid or needed bc the gelcoat will be rough and the top is a low traffic area. I could be wrong. Warthog used Rust-Oleum non skid. Search on this site for details

Looking ahead a bit but I I do not have a wiper motor (nor a wiper obviously) on the vessel. It appears the previous owner(s) removed it. Anyone have a part number for a replacement?
Or a source for an aftermarket? I’ve seen a few online but unsure on the degree of sweep and the shaft length.

I’ve looked at a few manual setups as well. That may be a cost effective solution for a while.

Everything is going smooth.

So far so good. The whole project is at organized chaos mode though. Seems I have loose ends everywhere I look. Overall the roof is progressing better than I expected. I have had a lot of help from a friend who is very experienced with this type of work. That alone has saved me many hours of head scratching and reading. Some fairing and sanding and the roof should be ready for gelcoat shortly. I have electrical parts coming in this week as well. A new fuse panel and battery isolator relay switch.

It would be great if you could find a wiring harness

The actual factory wiring is in fairly good condition. It’s the wiring done by the previous owners that needs attention. I ordered a new blue sea 12 place fuse box which I will install in place of the old tube style fuse box. Some of the switches and jumper wires on the factory switch panel will be replaced over time but currently function fine.

Any idea on who this bracket is fabricated by? I’ve looked all over it and I’ve not been able to find a manufacturer plate of any kind. Originally I was under the impression it was made by Stainless Marine.

I believe it is stainless marine. At least it looks like my bracket.

Here my bracket

They do look very similar (although yours is significantly cleaner). Has anyone installed a kicker bracket on these? I did email stainless marine (assuming they were the manufacturer) asking them this same question and their response was that they make brackets with that option. With liability such a big concern for companies these days I’m sure they won’t put their stamp of approval on any modifications.

Modifications can be done as you see but know stainless marine did not do it. I did the work myself. Welded it up adding floatation to it.

Very nice. I may need to tackle this project myself. I’ve been looking at bolt on style mounts but welding it is a good option. What Alloy did you use to weld?
